Natalia graduated from the Pedadogogical University, Moscow in 1996 having studied art and graphics.
She has been sewing and making dolls all her life, making them professionally since 1994.
Each doll is one-of-a-kind and made on a metal armature with a papier-mâché
body. Covered arms and
legs are made of papier-mâché, but visible limbs, together with the heads and shoulder plates are
made of directly modeled clay. The eyes are painted and the clothes are made from antique fabrics.
She regards the figures as 'dressed sculptures' and her dolls have been shown at several exhibitions
in Russia since 1993.
