Linda studied graphic design at Bolton College of Art and Design and since 1980 has worked as a freelance illustrator.

Although specialising in child subjects and teddy bear illustrations she has worked in a variety of media including collectors' plates and illustrated preschool books featuring teddy bears.

Linda became interested in working with porcelain and started creating dolls and figurines. All her dolls have porcelain heads, shoulder plates and limbs, most have human hair and glass paperweight eyes and are from 36cm (14in) to 61cm (24in) high.

Linda also designs dolls for Ashton Drake Galleries UK.
