Applicants must have sold several of the same type of dolls they are submitting, and the figures must be totally original and complete with arms and legs.

Dolls with cast heads, limbs or bodies must be submitted with original artwork (ie sculpture or model) from which the moulds were made.

Drawings and designs used by the applicants in creating the dolls will, when submitted, count considerably in favour of the applicant.

In the first instance prospective members should send photos of their dolls along with the completed application form to the member responsible (the name and address are on the form). She will make arrangements with the prospective applicant for shipping actual dolls and supporting information to the next AGM where they will be displayed and voted on by all the BDA members present. The next meeting will be held on Monday 2nd October 2000.

In the meantime perhaps applicants would like to join as Friends of the BDA or join the Dollmakers Circle which meets in London four times a year.
