Yuki loves celestial beauty in all its forms - visual, musical, etc. - and is inspired by myths, legends and fairytales from around the world.

Although she learnt aspects of drawing and textile art at college, her dollmaking skills are entirely self-taught. After sketching ideas in pencil, once an idea starts to crystallise Yuki develops the idea in lime clay; every doll is a one-off.

They are painted with acrylic gouache including the eyes, which Yuki feels to be one of the most important aspects in her creations; the hair is silk, uncoloured until Yuki dyes it herself. They are fully jointed but not always fully clothed to emphasise their ethereal natures, and their graceful body lines partly reflect Yuki's other love (cats); their costuming is also other-worldly.
