Jill makes life-like portraits in porcelain, each designed to evoke in the viewer a particular emotion or a feeling of atmosphere.

She says:

"Working from my studios tucked in the out-of-the-way lanes of Worcestershire overlooking the Malvern Hills is far away from my roots in New Zealand but I find my memories of warm sunny days, the land and sea are reoccurring themes in my dolls."

"Each piece is hand-made here, in small editions of 3 - 25. No commercially available moulds are used in their production, each element of sculpting, mould making, casting, cleaning, painting, body design, costume design and finishing comes together to breathe life into these works of Art."
