Janette is interested in the historical side of doll making and has
in recent years concentrated on the techniques and styles of the
1920's, inspired particularly the works of Norah Wellings and
Lenci. She is completely self taught and uses a combination of conventional methods and adapted techniques from her native Potteries to create her traditional 1920's style cloth dolls. She is a big fan of moulded felt faces and wool hair and all her dolls are button jointed. The result is unique doll with a very distinct style. Sizes vary and commissions are most welcome. Send £2 or $4 for photos. |
