Fadila was an art teacher in a secondary school in Morocco, her country of
origin; she married her English husband and left in 1987. She has been making
cloth dolls since 1982 and in 1992 met a Dutch doll artist who introduced her to
dollmaking using papier-mâché.
Fadila is fascinated by dolls and totally dedicated to dollmaking. She is
currently experimenting with porcelain clay, Fimo and Cernit but has never
forgotten her beloved cloth. Fadila is doing a sculpture course and believes in
learning and improving all the time. She would like to specialise in
one-of-a-kind Moroccan dolls but welcomes commissions.
