Debbi Bain

Debbi made her first doll out of a pair of old socks at the age of eight, and throughout her life dolls have casually re-emerged usually as gifts for friends and relations.

After studying theatre costume design at Hull College of Art Debbi decided to design her own range of dolls. Debbi's dolls are all one-of-a-kind and are made of felt with hand-painted faces and individually designed costumes. Some of the dolls have jointed hips and shoulders and others are in a fixed pose. The dolls range in size from 25 to 80cm (10-36in) and have hand-stitched hair made from a variety of yarns.
