Charlotte has always enjoyed modeling and painting. after gaining an MA in
history she took up full time dollmaking and miniature painting and in 1987 she
was elected a foreign associate member of the National Institute of American
Doll Artists. In 1992 she began to share her time between artistic work and
writing. Her first book, "Prince Leopold", was published in May 1998.
Charlotte's dolls are individually modeled portraits of historical or living
people, usually in 1/6th
scale. Her special interests are royal history and uniform but she accepts
orders for any character and welcomes a challenge. She aims for accuracy and is
always striving to make figures which look as if they might walk away if you
blink!
